“ We were set up at any nearby campsite in a motorhome for a family break and noticed on Google maps that this restaurant was nearby. As it was my sons 8th birthday we headed there for dinner (with a newborn in a pram) and when we turned up it was a beautiful building next to the water and looked a bit more upmarket than what we were expecting. We had been in a motorhome for 2 days, no sleep (due to said newborn), a hyper birthday boy and us parents wearing the only clean clothes left that were packed.... the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We were shown to a table a bit more private so my wife could breastfeed, which was appreciated. They noticed it was my sons birthday and brought him out a little kids cocktail for him on the house. We ordered food and drinks without too much of a wait, all our food was delicious, the waitress also spotted the birthday cake hidden in the bottom of the pram and asked if she should take it and bring it out after the mains. I'm not sure if it was the living off fast food as we were touring (500 miles by this point), lack of sleep and to be honest just wanting to go home but this was an absolute haven for my wife and I. Great food, great staff, wonderful location, and cold beer. If we weren't from Glasgow, we'd be regulars here! The only slight issue was that we were charged for 2 glasses of white wine instead of one. They removed it from the bill, no problem, and apologised. Definitely recommend. ”
“ When you accidentally giff as the waitress comes over and they do not even flinch, that's professionalism right there! Brilliant restaurant with very attentive professional staff. The menu gives good options whether you'd like something with meat, vegetarian or gluten free and the dishes we chose were excellent, full of flavour and cooked expertly. The look of the restaurant gives a warm yet open feeling full of natural light keeping an old school feel with open beams and old style roof vent windows that gives the place charm with a modern feeling. Highly recommend this restaurant when wanting something a little more special. ”
